Battery equalizers are used for batteries connected in series and parallel operations. It is used to keep the voltage of each battery the same. Over time, with each charging/discharging cycle, the battery voltage is will start to become unbalanced. Each battery will also have a different self discharge rate. These differences will mean that eventually some of the batteries in the series may become overloaded, and others will become insufficiently charged. The voltage difference will increase each time the battery charge/discharge processes is repeated. This can eventually lead to premature failure of some batteries packs within the battery series.

Key Features
The HA12L can compensate batteries in strings of up to 4 in series and 4 more added in parallel, e.g. 4x12V batteries or 8X12V batteries etc, see wiring illustrations along with the product photos. This equalizer starts to work when there is anything greater than 10mV difference between the two batteries. Current will flow from the higher voltage to the lower voltage battery, eventually reaching equilibrium.
This equalizer can be used with fewer batteries than its wiring connections if required, just leave the third / fourth pair of cables disconnected with safety covers over the terminals.
